What is PixelArt at deviantART?


All the tutorials you will find here will follow the basic rules of PixelArt.

PixelArt is created using only the pencil tool set on 1 pixel and limited use of the bucket/flood fill tool, with a limited colour palette on any acceptable computer art software program such as msPaint, Photoshop or GraphicsGale.

Pixelart is created on a click by click basis, not dragging the pencil tool across the work as in conventional drawing.

Line art follows the same basic principles for creating PixelArt but it is not classed as PixelArt but simply line art, so no tutorials will be included for creating line art alone.
